Recognizing that a thriving ‘walkable’ downtown is an asset, the City has been working to attract developers to build an Oldsmar downtown. They have seen the impact of a walkable downtown in St. Petersburg, Dunedin, and Safety Harbor.
The City now has a plan to partner with a developer to create a 10 acre mixed use commercial downtown around city hall, including a luxury apartment building. The City is currently holding meetings with residents to detail and agree these plans.
